6. What are animals thinking and feeling?
"An ancient partnership that we've just recently found out about" is a weird statement that assumes all human beings are ignorant of what wild animals can do. I think we can all agree that animals have the same skills as humans, or else they would no longer be on the planet. No one species can just "live" on the earth and not know how to survive and communicate with others. It is up to that species to adapt and teaching their offspring.
What we do as humans is not special, its adaptive. It is not us being able to love, or "think", or reason. It is us learning how to survive in our current world. We aren't the smartest species on the Earth, we are just the only species to be able to communicate with 7 billion other homo sapiens. Humans sits on a high horse thinking they own the Earth, but afterall "Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
My dog can protect her skin with a single coat (made of 2 layers), I on the other hand need to either add or remove clothes. So, is a husky smarter than humans via heat regulation, or is a human smarter than a husky because they can sew a sweater?
Example of a double coat and how it works
